INTERVIEWEE’S RELEASE

 

 

In consideration of providing you written material and/or this interview you will inform me when a final collection of stories are published as a result of your work on the Voices on the River project ("VonR").

 

Interview and recordings authority

 

  1. I agree to submit a written contribution to You and I authorize You to:

a)         make a sound recording of the interview (Recording) and

b)        make written notes on or a transcript of the interview (Transcript)

c)         use my written contribution ("Contribution")

for use in a publishable collection of stories relating to the VonR project.

Copyright

  1. Copyright in the Interview and Contribution belongs to Me. Copyright in the Recording and Transcript belongs to You.

Interviewer’s Rights

  1. To the extent that I have any rights or interests in any of the Interview, the Recording, the Transcript and Contribution , I grant You an exclusive license to use the Interview, Recording, Transcript and Contribution:

(a)       for 60 years;

(b)       throughout the world

(c)       in written or oral/audio form; and

to reproduce and use all or a portion of the Interview, Recording, Transcript and Contribution in the VonR project.

Credit

  1. You will give Me credit for my Contribution to the VonR project .

Other Obligations

  1. I acknowledge that I have no rights or interests, including (without limitation) any copyright in any material incorporating the Recording and  Transcript permitted by this release, other than as specified in this release.

Representations, warranties and indemnity

  1. I represent and warrant that:

(a)       there are no restrictions that prevent Me from granting the rights that I grant and performing my obligations, under this Release;

(b)       my contribution to the interview does not infringe the rights, including (without limitation) the copyright, of any other person or organization;

(c)       to the best of my knowledge, my Contribution is not defamatory, obscene, false, misleading or deceptive;

(d)       to the extent that I refer to or include Indigenous cultural and intellectual property in the Interview I have the consent of the appropriate Indigenous custodians to do so.

Release

  1. I irrevocable release You (and your licensees and assigns) from any liability to me now or in the future (including in negligence) in connection with the use of any of the Interview, Recording  Transcript and Contribution for the purposes set out in this release.
